It is very popular..
I guess that it will become more popular in the future...

WEEK 2 (:
--PDA
A personal digital assistant (PDA), also known as a palmtop computer, is a mobile device which functions as a Personal information manager and connects to the internet. The PDA has an electronic visual display enabling it to include a web browser, but some newer models also have audio capabilities, enabling them to be used as mobile phones or portable media players. Many PDAs can access the internet, intranets or extranets via Wi-Fi, or Wireless Wide Area Networks (WWANs). Many PDAs employ touchscreen technology.
The term PDA was first used on January 7, 1992, by Apple Computer CEO John Sculley at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, Nevada, referring to the Apple Newton. In 1996, Nokia introduced the first mobile phone with full PDA functionality, the 9000 Communicator, which has since grown to become the world's best-selling PDA and which spawned a category of phones called the smartphone. Today the vast majority of all PDAs are smartphones, selling over 150 million units while non-phone ("stand-alone") PDAs sell only about 3 million units per year. The RIM BlackBerry, the Apple iPhone and the Nokia N-Series and HTC are typical smartphones
The photophone, also known as a radiophone, was invented jointly by Alexander Graham Bell and his then-assistant Charles Sumner Tainter on February 19, 1880, at Bell's 1325 'L' Street laboratory in Washington, D.C. Both were later to become full associates in the Volta Laboratory Association, created and financed by Bell.
Bell believed the photophone was his most important invention. The device allowed for the transmission of sound on a beam of light. On April 1, 1880, and also described by plaque as occurring on June 3, Bell transmitted the world's first wireless telephone message on his newly invented form of telecommunication, the far advanced precursor to fiber-optic communications. The wireless call was sent from the Franklin School to the window of Bell's laboratory, some 213 meters away.[3][4]
Of the eighteen patents granted in Bell's name alone, and the twelve he shared with his collaborators, four were for the photophone, which Bell referred to as his 'greatest achievement',"the greatest invention [I have] ever made, greater than the telephone". writing that the photophone was
Bell transferred the photophone's rights to the National Bell Telephone Company in May, 1880.[6] The master patent for the photophone (U.S. Patent 235,199 Apparatus for Signalling and Communicating, called Photophone), was issued in December 1880, many decades before its principles could be applied to practical applications.
WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE WIRELESS DEVICE? WHY IS THIS DEVICE SIGNIFICANT TO YOU?
'Well off course--it is my handy`dandy cellphone;]]
This device is very important to me. I can listen to my favorite music and songs. I can send SMS to my family and friends. I could call them up if i needed to.
IMAGINE A WORLD WHERE THERE ARE NO WIRELESS DEVICES. WHAT ARE THE SIGNIFICANT IMPLICATIONS OF THIS SCENARIO??
hhhhmm.....
Well i guess that it is a very BORING world.
for example:
your cellphone is connected to the wire all the time
--it is not that convenient and potable
--it is not comfortable to use
--it is very hard to communicate to others by using a wire
Our world will be so hard and complicated.
No internet. no remote control. no blue tooth. no infrared. no mobile phones. no satellites.
ALMOST ALL.
Doing simple things will be so hard. Its a very big punishment for humans if there are no technologies like those that are wireless. It will be a big "LOST" for us.We are so lucky that we have these technologies at present.

WEEK 1 (:

ROAR!! :]]
This photo was taken in Zoobic Safari, at the tiger safari.
We took a 5-minute ride and proceed to the tiger trail.
AAAHHHH!! :]]
When we were already near to the tiger, we almost fell down to our seats as we shout. Thrilling!!
FEED!! :]]
One of the trainer/zookeeper beside us fed the big tiger. Its big mouth and paws made us move backwards from the tiger. Though it was that way, I took a shot or two for my souvenir. Click!
TRIVIAS ;]]
We also learned that tigers can gain 1 pound per day. And it can grow as much 6 times as our father's size.
Baby tigers are blind. But when they grow up, their eyesight is 6 times brighter that human eyes!
We really had a nice time in tiger safari.
ENJOY AND BE KNOWLEDGEABLE. n_n
